    .RDP XP - Printer only connects after Disconnect and reconnect of TS session

    I have a couple users that connect to an XP workstation over terminal services.  The users are not administrators on the worksation.  Upon initial connection, their printer is not mapped by ThinPrint.  If they disconnect (not logoff) their session and reconnect, the printer will usually get mapped by ThinPrint.  This is obviously very annoying for the users.   Is there a fix/work around for this? Could a script be run when they log in to reinitialize the thinprint connection?

    Hi,
    please first increase two time outs for the AutoConnect service on the "server" machine.
    -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
    Please change the following registry entries
    HKLM\ Software\ ThinPrint\ TPAutoConnect
    -> ListenToWTSTrys - default dec. 10 to 30
    -> ListenToWTSTryDelay - default dec 1000 to 3000
    and restart the TPAutoConnect service.
    -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
    If this doesn't help, please test if turning off "send printer properties" in the .print Client changes something (2nd configuration tab).

    Hi,

     I tried those but still have the same problem.  I found that if I run tpautoconnect -q from the command prompt that it will map the printer immediately.  It seems to me that the command is nt being executed on login.  I added a script to run it durning startup and that seems to be working.
