    TermServDevice Errors

We are currently using the 6.2 .Server engine on our terminal server.  All remote users are able to login sucessfully, and their local printers are mapped and are useable.  However, the event logs on the server consistently display driver unknown errors for each printer listed from their individual computers.

Are the printer drivers used by all the remote users supposed to be manually entered at the server level?  Or are these errors to be disregarded?

    Hi,

may you please post an example error message?
I suspect the Windows/Citrix printer mapping to generate the mentioned error as ThinPrint is not interested in the local printer driver (installed on the users PC) or at least won't create such an error message in the eventlog.

Note that this entry appears for each printer from each user's local machine.

    Hi,
as already assumed - this error is not caused by ThinPrint but by Microsoft Terminal Services.

Please make sure you have turned off Microsoft printer mapping if you don't need it. Else, installing the mentioned printer driver would (hopefully) solve this issue.
